Death by Design FL is Casey Sicher-Ford’s solo cinematic technical death metal project— built around deep guttural vocals, crushing instrumentation, visual worldbuilding and complete concept albums.
Every release is designed as more than a collection of songs. Music, lyrics, artwork, videos and narrative structure are developed as parts of the same world. The result is extreme metal with a cinematic spine: heavy enough to hit immediately, detailed enough to reward a deeper listen and structured to tell a complete story.
Death by Design FL is an independent solo cinematic technical death metal project created by Casey Sicher-Ford in Daytona Beach, Florida. The music combines deep guttural vocals, heavy riffs, complex bass, extreme percussion, industrial textures, cinematic production and story-driven concept albums. The lead vocal approach does not use clean singing.

The vocal identity is built around deep, forceful gutturals rather than clean-sung lead vocals. The voice functions as another heavy instrument while still carrying the story.

Dense riffs, complex bass, extreme percussion, industrial detail and cinematic layers are arranged to create momentum, scale and contrast—not complexity for its own sake.
03 · Story & Worldbuilding
Each record follows an intentional narrative structure. Song titles, lyrics, sequencing, artwork and videos work together as chapters inside one larger concept.
The first two full-length releases move from comic-book mythology into an original post-human prosecution of the species.

Death by Design FL was created to combine the force of extreme metal with the continuity of a film, graphic novel or serialized science-fiction story. The project’s independence makes that possible: the same creative vision can guide the songwriting, vocal performance, sequencing, artwork, visual presentation, release strategy and website.
The goal is not to make music feel complicated for the sake of being complicated. The goal is to make every riff, vocal, transition and visual feel like it belongs to the same universe. That consistency is the design.
