01 · Concept Architecture
The World Comes Before the Song
Albums begin with a central premise, visual atmosphere and narrative destination.
The sequence is mapped so every track has a reason to exist inside the larger arc.
Metal Multiverse was built around mythic comic-book conflict;
The Trial of a Species became a thirteen-part post-human prosecution.
02 · Lyrics
Ideas Captured Whenever They Arrive
Lyrics often begin as scattered lines typed during the day, sometimes in notes,
documents or even an empty email. Casey develops the voice, imagery and point of view,
then refines the language until it supports both the rhythm and the larger story.
03 · Composition & Arrangement
Structure Before Decoration
Song movement is mapped through sections, intensity changes, rhythmic ideas and
narrative beats. Written outlines help define where the music must accelerate,
breathe, fracture or resolve before the final arrangement is assembled in Logic Pro.
04 · Guttural Vocals
Character, Weight and Repetition
Casey records the vocals repeatedly until the delivery carries the right aggression,
clarity and emotional character. Processing is used to reinforce the world of the song,
including character-specific transformations and layered textures—not to replace the
underlying performance.
05 · Bass & Riff Development
The “Lead Bass” Instinct
A Jackson five-string bass is the physical center of the setup. Casey’s naturally
technical, melodic “lead bass” approach is used to build low-end movement, test riff
shapes and define how heavy sections should feel before the parts are processed and
integrated into the full arrangement.
06 · Drums & Percussion
Pattern Building and Physical Texture
Rhythmic ideas are developed as short patterns, tested against the arrangement and
rebuilt until the timing, attack and transitions support the song. Additional metallic
impacts and found-sound percussion are layered when the story needs a more mechanical
or industrial character.
07 · Production & Sound Design
Experiment Until the World Sounds Real
Preamp models, distortion, reverb, modulation, automation, editing and experimental
processors are combined inside Logic Pro. The goal is not to make every sound polished;
it is to make every sound feel like it belongs to the same cinematic environment.
08 · Visuals & Release
The Album Does Not End at the Master
Artwork, lyric videos, titles, web pages, metadata, distribution, press materials,
merchandise and promotion are developed as extensions of the same concept. The release
is treated as one connected experience rather than a folder of unrelated assets.
